Young People

Life as a young person, teenager or young adult is full of unique challenges.  From the drama of friendships or “frenemies”, coping with the complexity of family dynamics,  dealing with the social pressures to fit in and be accepted; and what to speak of the struggles in academics.  

All too often, feelings of anxiety and of being an “outsider” exacerbate their already fragile self-esteem and this can come out in anti-social behaviours, addictions or compulsions, crippling self-esteem, and self-harming.

Their futures are ahead of them and like most of us, sometimes we need a bit of help from outside to bridge a difficult time.  I focus on undoing past traumas, and then building a brighter path forward together, creating lifelong coping skills so they have their own resources to draw on in the future.
