The State of Hypnosis
Hypnosis is a natural state that many of us experience every day.
Perhaps you’ve been doing a normal day-to-day task, like ironing or driving, and during this you are literally “miles away” in your own thoughts. This is a natural trance state, and very similar to hypnosis.
During a session, you are aware of where you are at all times, you hear my voice but you feel a deep sense of relaxation, very similar to a daydream. It’s not like a Paul McKenna show. The conscious mind is always present, it’s just that you choose to daydream. During this “daydream”, the subconscious mind is accessed and is more open to making positive changes.

Overcoming intense emotions
EMDR or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is a recently discovered technique for dealing with overwhelming emotions.
Emotional responses can get fixed during upsetting or traumatic events. By moving the eyes in fixed bi-lateral patterns, these emotions can be released and new beliefs and thoughts can replace them. This technique can be particularly helpful in dealing with negative feelings and issues of confidence or low self esteem. It can be very effective at easing symptoms in a wide range of problems.
