Birth Trauma
Working with birth trauma is a personal passion of mine. I am very distressed by the terrible experiences of women in labour and delivery, especially given the longer term effects this can cause to their happiness and their close relationships.
If you have experienced birth trauma, please do contact me, and together we can heal that heartbreak.

Anna Higgs writes about her experience of overcoming birth trauma:
“Seven years after the birth of my first child I was pregnant again. I was happy but also terrified of that scary bit at the end. The bit before the epidural and the arrival of my beautiful baby. You know, the bit with the beeping machines, smell of disinfectant, screams of women in the rooms next to yours giving you a forewarning of the huge pain to come. Oh yes, and the huge pain itself, off the Richter Scale and unendurable. Boy, I was scared of giving birth again.
And then I did a few sessions with Hari and I made peace with birth. I realised something that I had forgotten; most of it was okay, but the horrible bits had blotted out everything else in my memory. Hari helped me to access the positive parts of what I had previously thought of as a traumatic event. Best of all, I stopped thinking that my body couldn’t give birth without a vast amount of medical assistance, and began to realise that I had done well, and been really brave, in what was at times a very stressful situation.
I went on to do a hypnobirthing course and had the birth I dreamed of, a water birth at home with no pain relief. Thank you Hari for the miracle you worked. I can’t believe you did so much in just a few hours!”
